“Well… I want to have a parking spot because I live in a walkable neighborhood, but I don’t want to walk more than a tenth of a mile with lots of kombucha, green juice, or a carton of milk. The only Whole Foods Market in Boston selling beer, wine and spirits. When I saw Fireball, I wondered if the food standards were as high as the spirit standards, because if so, I thought it was impossible, and I love Fireball. They sell 2 money chucks called Three Wishes, which I didn’t know either. It’s less than $5, which is a steal for a bottle in Boston.

Besides all the food markets you’d expect, this place also has a fresh juice bar, Fish Shack, a full service coffee bar, locally baked goods, and a homemade frozen yogurt bar!

Prior to the actual opening, I was invited for a presentation in the store, so fresh food wasn’t ready, so I brought my fancy camera. When I came back, I was impressed by the addition of chopped greens and many prepared foods like Health Starts Here.

With three large lines of salad bar options, there is something for everyone. They even have a grill station, electric kettle and hot station with over 10 options for special “diet” options. There’s also pizza and fried oysters – don’t worry, it’s not just a health issue.

There is even FREE parking. There are only 110 spots, so get there early or wait for it to get crowded. On Saturdays and Sundays, there are lines at the parking lot, and even free valet parking is offered to keep customers happy. Whole Foods Market South End is also inviting employees from nearby stores to help with checkout the first weekend. On Sundays, I wait 60 seconds at most.
